Pak girl undergoes successful open-heart surgery

Bangalore: Two-year-old Pakistan girl, Noor Fatima on July 15 underwent a successful open-heart surgery at Narayana Hrudyalaya in Bangalore.
A team of doctors led by Dr Rajesh Sharma (Paediatric Cardiac Surgeon) performed the surgery on the girl who reached the city along with her parents by the first Lahore-bus journey.
Dr Rajesh Sharma told indiainfo.com that the condition of the patient is "satisfactory".
"Today morning suddenly the child turned blue and she was taken to the operation theatre immediately for surgery," doctors attending on her told indiainfo.com.
"Right now the heart is functioning normally", and soon the child will be shifted to the Intensive Thoracic Unit (ITU), "where she will be kept for two to three days", they added.
Dr Rajesh told indiainfo.com that the patient had Multiple Ventricular Septal disease.
