Terror leader's statements show Pak's inaction

New Delhi: India on July 17 reacted sharply to threats by Hizb-ul-Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin of
large-scale suicide attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, accusing Pakistan of continuing to give shelter and
support to terrorists.
Salahuddin had stated in Muzaffarabad, "if the international community does not take steps to rescue us
from India's state terrorism....the Hizb-ul Mujahideen will be compelled to shortly launch fidayeen
(suicide) attacks on large scale."
Asked about his threat, External Affairs Ministry spokesman told reporters "the fact that Salahuddin is
able to freely move around and make such statements clearly shows that Pakistan continues to give
shelter and support to terrorists."
"To an extent, it once again shows the usual gap between what Pakistan says and what it does," he
said.
