Vivek Oberoi shifted to Mumbai, Mani Ratnam stable

Kolkata: Bollywood star Vivek Oberoi admitted to a city hospital with a fractured leg was shifted to Mumbai in the early hours on July 17.

Sources at the Calcutta Medical Research Institute said the star accompanied by his father Suresh Oberoi left for Mumbai in a morning flight.

Director Mani Ratnam also admitted to the B M Birla Heart Research Institute on July 16 with postural hypotension was expected to be released on July 17 evening.

Both were hospitalised while picturising a stunt scene over the Hoogly Bridge on July 16 afternoon when an Ajay Devgan dummy hit Oberoi on the leg.

While Oberoi broke two bones in his left leg, Mani Ratnam had a near black out while trying to help the stars regain control.
