Flight develops snag enroute, returns to Chennai

Chennai: An Alliance Air flight from Chennai to Port Blair, which took off from Chennai airport with 70 passengers aboard, returned to base after the pilot of the flight noticed a technical snag, airport sources said.

The flight took as per its schedule at 05.15 hours (IST) but after flying for nearly 90-minutes, the pilot noticed that one of the engines was not working and returned to base, the sources said.

All the passengers were accommodated in various city hotels, the sources added.
