Fernandes, Nitish visit Amarnath cave shrine
Saturday, July 19 2003 17:08 Hrs (IST)

Srinagar: Two days after Railway Minister Nitish Kumar patched up with his Samata Party colleagues and resumed work, eight party MPs, including its president George Fernandes, visited the holy Amarnath shrine on July 19, apparently to thank Lord Shiva for resolving the crisis.

Fernandes and Nitish, accompanied by six party MPs, paid obeisance at the cave shrine on July 19 morning, official sources said.

The leaders visited the shrine out of the Chief Minister's special quota, the sources added.
