14 people injured in powerful grenade blast in J&K

Srinagar: Fourteen people, including a policeman and a woman, were on July 19 injured in a powerful
grenade blast triggered by militants at the crowded Tral bus stand in Pulwama district of Jammu and
Kashmir.
The grenade, which was aimed at a security patrol, missed the target and exploded on the road injuring
13 pedestrians and a policeman, 40 kms from Srinagar, official sources said.
The injured were admitted to hospital where the condition of two of them – Zeba Bano and Ghulam Nabi
Budroo – was stated to be serious and they have been referred to Srinagar hospital, the sources said.
Police and security personnel cordoned off the area immediately, but no arrests were made.
Elsewhere, militants shot at and critically wounded 26-year-old Mahjabeen at Mangipora in Shopian area
of the district. She has been admitted to a hospital.
