Nagercoil: The PSLV C5 rocket would be launched from Sriharikota in October, according to official sources at the liquid propulsion systems centre at Mahendragiri.

The sources said that the second and fourth liquid stages of the rocket had been made at LPSC, while the fourth stage had now been sent to the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) Thiruvananthapuram for final tests.

The first and third solid stages are being formulated at VSSC.

The PSLV would be utilised to launch a satellite in orbit for land and coastal observations, the sources said.
