Monday, July 21 2003 12:09 Hrs (IST)

Alwar (Rajasthan): Seven people, including three members of a family, drowned in a flash flood in a water stream in Sariska Tiger Reserve, police said on July 21.

Eighteen people, taking bath at a scenic spot, were swept away by the gushing water inside the Reserve on July 20 evening but 11 of them were rescued.

Of the dead, five hailed from Jaipur, police said, adding the flash flood was triggered by incessant rains.

A three-year-old boy was among the three members of the family that perished in the tragedy.
