Noor making fast progress, shifted to ward
Wednesday, July 23 2003 11:24 Hrs (IST)

Bangalore: Pakistani girl Noor Fatima was shifted to the ward on July 23, eight days after she underwent an open-heart operation at Narayana Hrudayalaya, a cardiac speciality hospital on the city outskirts, a doctor attending on her said.

"Since she did not need any oxygen, she has been shifted to the ward. Her progress is fine," Dr Tellis, in charge of the paediatric Intensive Thoracic Unit (ITU) at Narayana Hrudayalaya, said.

Two-and-a-half-year old Noor was in the "step down" unit before she was shifted to the ward.

Since day before, the girl was on a normal diet, the doctor said, adding she was on oral medication now.

Noor, who came with her parents in the Delhi-Lahore bus in its first trip after the resumption of service, underwent the operation for Ventricular Septal Defect with pulmonary stenosis.
