US assures commitment to end terrorism against India
Wednesday, July 23 2003 20:53 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: Condemning the terrorist violence in Jammu and Kashmir in the past several days, the United States said on July 23 it was committed to the permanent end of terrorism against India.

"We condemn the brutal terrorist attack that have taken place in Jammu and Kashmir in the past several days, as the Bush Administration has said many times, there can be no justification for such evil acts," a release issued by the US Embassy in New Delhi said.

"The US is committed to the permanent end of terrorism against India," it said.

The international committee, it said, must have "zero-tolerance" for terrorism, adding "working with other like-minded nations, we will continue our efforts until all terrorism is stopped."
