Marilyn Monroe voted 'ultimate blonde bombshell'

London: The world's favourite blonde has come out on top in a poll in Britain.
The late Marilyn Monroe has left the likes of Grace Kelly and Brigitte Bardot behind, to emerge as
Britain's best-loved movie blonde.
So popular is Monroe, who passed away in 1962, that she received a massive 45 per cent of the votes
in the poll conducted by the United Kingdom-based United Cinemas International (UCI).
Among the current actresses in the top 10 were Gwyneth Paltrow, 30; Sharon Stone, 45; and Cameron
Diaz, 30.
A notable absentee was 'Legally Blonde' star Reese Witherspoon, 27.
The top 10 movie blondes are:

2. Grace Kelly
3. Brigitte Bardot
4. Doris Day
5. Gwyneth Paltrow
6. Sharon Stone
7. Cameron Diaz
8. Jayne Mansfield
9. Goldie Hawn
10. Greta Garbo.
"There seems to be a real yearning for the 'Golden Age of Hollywood'. Marilyn Monroe is still the ultimate
blonde bombshell," 'The Sun' quoted UCI's Lianne Chenery as saying.
