Devgan, Konkana bag best actor, actress awards

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan was adjudged best actor for the 'Legend of Bhagat Singh' in the 50th National Film Awards, while Konkana Sen bagged the best actress for her performance in 'Mr and Mrs Iyer'.

The award for best director went to Aparna Sen for 'Mr and Mrs Iyer', while Buddhadeb Dasgupta's 'Mondo Meyer Upakhyan' (The Tale of a Naughty Girl) was adjudged best film, chairman of the jury Prakash Jha announced on July 26.

The award for the best popular film went to Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Devdas'.

The jury presented its report earlier to Information and Broadcasting Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.
