13 intruders among 21 people killed in J&K

Srinagar: Twenty-one people, including 13 intruders and an Army jawan, were killed as security forces
scuttled three infiltration bids in Jammu and Kashmir since July 24 night, police said.
Ultras abducted a villager but set free another in an injured condition, while two militants were arrested
and another laid down his arms in the state during the period, police said.
Border Security Force (BSF) personnel killed five intruders when they sneaked into the Indian territory in
Kanachak area of Akhnoor sector in Jammu division, BSF spokesman said.
Another group of five heavily-armed Pakistani intruders were shot dead by security forces at Manjoo
Post near Nageena bridge in Karnah sector of Kupwara district early July 25, police spokesman
said.
He said the militants had sneaked into the sector from across the border. Five AK rifles, 14 magazines,
1,786 explosive sticks, three grenades and two wireless sets were recovered from them.
Three more militants, attempting to intrude into the valley from across the border, were killed by security
forces at Jumgund near the Line of Control in Trehgam sector of Kupwara.
