Philippine rebels reject Arroyo ultimatum

Manila: Leaders of a crumbling Philippines military rebellion on July 27 rejected a 05:00 pm (14:30 hrs IST) ultimatum issued by President Gloria Arroyo for them to stand down, and vowed to fight on.

"5:00 pm definitely it won't be over", Lieutenant Senior Grade Antonio Trillanes, spokesman for the rebels, told a news conference.
