Pak HUJI commander killed in encounters in J&K

Jammu: A self-styled Pakistani area commander of Harkat-ul-Jehadi Islami (HUJI) and a woman were
killed in two separate militancy related incidents in Udhampur and Poonch districts of Jammu and
Kashmir since July 27 night, official sources said.
On specific information, the Border Security Force (BSF) and police launched a joint search operation in
Ban area of Gool early on July 28 and in the ensuing encounter, the HUJI militant identified as Malik
Mohammad Saifullah was killed.
Saifullah was a self styled area commander of HUJI's Chinab division, the sources said, adding one AK
rifle, 13 magazines, seven grenades, two improvised explosive devices (IEDs), nine detonators, 103
rounds and a wireless set were recovered.
The encounter was still on when the reports last came in from the area, the sources said.
In another incident, militants abducted a woman, Zubida Begum and later killed her at Poonch forest
area, they said. Her body has been recovered by police.
Militants also attacked Sumbli police post in Baderwah with grenades on July 27 night. Since the
grenades exploded away from the intended target, there were no casualties.
