Jammu: A self-styled commander of Harkat-ul-Jehadi Islami (HUJI) and a woman were killed in two separate incidents in Udhampur and Poonch districts of Jammu and Kashmir since July 27 night.

The militant was identified as Malik Mohammad Saifullah and was killed in a joint operation by the Border Security Force (BSF) and the police in the Ban area of Cool.

One AK assault rifle, 13 magazines, seven grenades, nine detonators, 103 rounds and a wireless set have been recovered.

Meanwhile, in another incident, militants have abducted and killed a woman, identified as Zubida Begum. She was killed in the forest area of Poonch district, police said.
