Mumbai: Preliminary investigations into the July 28 blast in a BEST bus in Ghatkopar in northern Mumbai
have pointed towards a lesser-known terrorist group -- Al-Hadees.
The blast left four persons dead and over 30 injured.
Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal said, "We think it is a new
group of Lashkar-e-Toiba. Within few days, the culprits will be tracked down."
Referring to the demand for his resignation by the Opposition, Bhujbal said, "If it (the resignation) could
help in stopping the blasts, I am ready to do so. But I also want to mention that those unable to check
the blasts in Jammu and Kashmir should also step down."
When asked about July 30 Mumbai bandh called by the Shiv Sena and the Bharatiya Janata Party,
Bhujbal said, "I only want to say, we should not be indulging in politics at a time when all people have to
come together to face the enemies of the country."
