Tuesday, July 29 2003 14:54 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: Tourism Minister Jagmohan, who is in the eye of a storm over the Taj Heritage Corridor project, on July 29 asserted in the Rajya Sabha that no clearance was given for it by his Ministry or the Environment Ministry.

"No clearance was given by the Environment or Tourism Ministry. No sanction or approval (was given)," he said.

Jagmohan was responding to a supplementary during the Question Hour relating to the demand for his dismissal made by Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) over the controversial project.
