Talks on Indo-Pak air links resumption from Aug 27
Thursday, July 31 2003 21:34 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: India, on July 31 agreed to hold two-day expert-level talks with Pakistan from August 27 in Islamabad on resumption of air links between the two countries, severed after the terrorist attack on Parliament on Dec 13, 2001.

India's decision has been conveyed to Pakistan, an External Affairs Ministry spokesman said.

Pakistan on July 30 suggested two sets of dates - August 27-28 and Sept 3-4 - for holding talks between civil aviation officials of both the countries.

While road links have been restored between India and Pakistan with the resumption of Delhi-Lahore bus service, rail and air links are yet to be resumed between them.
