2 Pak nationals held in WB; ISI link suspected

Kharagpur: Two Pakistani nationals have been arrested from Kharagpur railway station in West Bengal's Midnapore district on the suspicion that they were agents of Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), Railway police sources said on August 6.

The sources said that they had prior information that two Pakistani nationals with ISI links were travelling in the Howrah-bound Madras Mail.

On being intercepted, Mohammad Sabir and Mohammad Sadiq were arrested from the train on August 5. Their documents were not convincing, the sources said. An amount of Rs 2.62 lakh was recovered from their possession.

They were produced before the sub-divisional judicial magistrate who remanded them to 10 days police custody.
