PAC issue stalls LS for the second day; RS adjourned
Friday, August 8 2003 14:40 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: Opposition on August 8 kept up pressure on the government in Parliament for the second day over denial of Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) report on Kargil arms purchases to Public Accounts Committee (PAC), forcing adjournment of the Rajya Sabha and stalling proceedings in the Lok Sabha.

While the Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the day amid uproarious scenes, Congress members stormed the Well in the Lok Sabha soon after the House passed two Constitution amendment Bills raising anti- government slogans.
