2 passengers suffer burn injuries as bogie catches fire
Saturday, August 9 2003 22:27 Hrs (IST)

Pratapgarh: Two passengers received minor burn injuries when the last bogie of the New Delhi-bound Neelanchal Express train caught fire near Amethi on August 9, police sources said.

The fire that was caused by a spark in the battery fitted under the bogie destroyed the luggage of several passengers, sources said.

The villagers doused the flames before the fire-tenders could reach the scene, they said.

The train left for its onward journey after about an hour's delay, sources added.
