Jamui: Maoist Communist Centre (MCC) ultras kidnapped and later gruesomely killed a mukhia and two
others of Ropabel village of Bihar's naxalite-infested Jamui district, police said on August 10.
Around 250 MCC ultras swooped on the village late on August 9 night and after evicting the inmates,
blew off the house of Ropabel Panchayat mukhia Gopal Sao and kidnapped the mukhia, his brother
Sambhu and a supporter Bhola Thakur, superintendent of police B Ahmad said.
Later, they killed the three by opening their stomach with sharp weapons, the SP said.
Their bodies were recovered from Charkhi Pathar village, about 45 km from the district headquarters on
August 9, Ahmad said.
Police suspected old enmity as the reason behind the incident. Gopal Sao was earlier in touch with the
banned outfit but later dissociated himself after some differences, the police said.
Intensive raids were being conducted to nab the ultras, the SP said.
