Nizamuddin Express derails in Maharashtra

Pune: Six bogies of New Delhi-bound Nizamuddin Express derailed near Adarki station in Satara district of Maharashtra early on August 10, police said in Pune.

However, there were no casualties in the derailment that occurred at 02.00 hours (IST), police said.

Meanwhile, the train that originated from Goa, has resumed its onward journey with two bogies, after the derailed coaches were detached.

Following the mishap, Poona-Ernakulam Purna Express, Mumbai-Bangalore Chalukya Express, Kolhapur-Mumbai Sahyadri Express, Nagpur-Gondia Maharashtra Express have been delayed as the single line track got blocked.
