New Delhi: In an alarming development, security forces have recently picked up a person who confessed
that he was instrumental in exfiltrating some boys from Gujarat to Pakistan for arms training.
The man arrested from Poonch district recently said that several youths from some districts of Gujarat
had been going to Pakistan for receiving arms training, official sources said.
The arrested man, who is alleged to be an over ground worker for militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT),
admitted to sending as many as six Gujarat boys across the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch, the
sources said.
The security agencies were able to zero-in on the Poonch man only after certain leads were established
during the investigations into the murder of former Gujarat Home Minister Haren Pandya, the sources
said.
Some apprehension was also expressed that three of the killers of Pandya had exfiltrated to Pakistan-
occupied-Kashmir.
Meanwhile, some wireless intercepts of militant groups like LeT and Jaish-e-Mohammad were suggestive
of possible suicide attacks in Gujarat.
The message had been conveyed to the Gujarat police for action, the sources said.
