Large cache of bombs seized, 8 arrested in Pune

Pune: A huge quantity of bombs were seized on August 12 from two houses in Sholapur, about 300 kms from Pune, and eight persons arrested in this connection, police said.

The weapons were recovered from two houses in Begampeth and Mangalwarpeth area of the city on august 12 morning, police said.

Interrogation of the arrested persons revealed that anti-social elements had stocked large quantities of bombs and other weapons, sources said.

More than 80 country-made bombs, 11 daggers and other sharp-edged weapons were recovered, they added.
