Food poisoning: 33 children hospitalised in Mumbai

Mumbai: Thirty-three children were hospitalised for suspected food poisoning after consuming sweets on Raksha Bandhan day even as the police arrested three persons, including the owner of the shop from where the sweets were bought.

The children from Byculla area were admitted to J J Hospital at around 21:00 pm on August 12 when they complained of uneasiness after eating the sweet, hospital sources said.

Police said they had taken into custody the owner of Purohit Sweet Mart and two of his workers in connection with the case.
