Musharraf, Jamali greet Kalam and Vajpayee on I-Day

Islamabad: Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali have greeted Indian President A P J Abdul Kalam and Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee on the occasion of Independence Day.

In a brief message to Kalam, Musharaf said, "Excellency, on behalf of the people of Pakistan and on my own behalf, I wish to convey to you and the people of India our felicitations on the Independence Day of India."

Greeting Vajpayee on the occasion, Jamali said, "Excellency, it gives me great pleasure to extend on behalf of the government and the people of Pakistan our warmest greetings to you and the people of India on the Independence Day of the Republic of India."
