Militants hurl grenade at police camp, 16 injured

Srinagar: Barely a few hours after Independence Day functions concluded, militants attacked a police camp by hurling a grenade in Central Kashmir's Budgam district this evening injuring 16 people, official sources said.

They said militants hurled the grenade at the security camp at Pakharpora at around 4:40 pm resulting in splinter injuries to 16 people, including three girls.

The wounded females have been identified as Shada Bano, Daisy and Meema who have been hospitalised along with the other injured persons.
