Sinha's Lanka visit put off in view of no-trust motion
Friday, August 15 2003 15:46 Hrs (IST)

Colombo: External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha has put off his two-day visit to Sri Lanka beginning August 17, official sources in Colombo said on August 15.

Sinha, who was to co-chair the Indo-Sri Lanka Joint Commission meeting in Colombo, is understood to have deferred the visit due to the Opposition-sponsored no-confidence motion against the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in Lok Sabha on August 18.
