Mysore: Pejawar Mutt Swamiji and a leader of Ramjanmabhoomi movement Sri Visweshathirtha Swamiji has said that he would soon announce a solution that he has worked out on the Ayodhya issue.

The seer, who is closely associated with the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), said the solution would be announced before September 9, when his "Chaturmas" in Mysore ends.

Both he and the Kanchi seer Jayendra Saraswathi had worked out a solution each and both of them had exchanged notes, the seer said, adding that he was confident of convincing the VHP also.

He said he had discussions with Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) supremo K S Sudarshan and only holding talks with the Muslim leaders was left.

The Swamiji said it was only through negotiations between Hindus and Muslims that the Ayodhya issue could be sorted to the satisfaction of all.

The verdict that may be given by the judicial courts could not hold any solution and in a Democracy the decision of the people was final, he said.

The Swamiji said although his desire had been to have the temple constructed in Ayodhya, he was opposed to damaging the structure (mosque) there and he was a witness to the unfortunate incident. However, the mob mentality had overwhelmed, he said.

He said there should be no conflict on Ayodhya issue and it should be settled peacefully.
