Islamabad: Pakistan and India should move forward to address all issues that have strained their
bilateral relations, besides finding a peaceful solution to the Kashmir issue, Pakistan Foreign Minister
Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri has said.
"As sovereign and equal states, it was important that both countries move forward with determination to
address the whole range of issues that had strained their relations and to find a peaceful solution of the
Kashmir issue," Kasuri said while talking with Indian High Commissioner S S Menon, a report in 'The
News' said.
Menon had called on the minister at the Foreign Office on August 19.
Welcoming the High Commissioner, the Foreign Minister reaffirmed Pakistan's determination to
endeavour for improvement of ties with India.
Kasuri stressed that with the "political will on both sides," it would be possible to improve bilateral
relations, which would, in turn, contribute towards a better future for the people of the two countries.
He said that the Track-II contacts had contributed to building expectations and hope of initiating the
dialogue process.
High Commissioner Menon also expressed his country's desire to improve relations with Pakistan.
