Wednesday, August 20 2003 17:58 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: Dissatisfied with Star's application for uplinking its news channel from India, government is likely to rework the uplinking guidelines to ensure its strict compliance.

The first meeting of the Group of Ministers (GoM) comprising Finance Minister Jaswant Singh, Law Minister Arun Jaitley and Information and Broadcasting Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad was held on August 20.

The GoM is likely to meet soon and take a final decision on the matter, sources said.
