Govt decides to revise uplinking guidelines

New Delhi: In the wake of Star's proposal for uplinking its news channel from India raising a major controversy, government is understood to have decided on August 22 to revise the uplinking guidelines.

The decision to this effect was taken at a high-level meeting Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee had with Information and Broadcasting Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, sources said.
