New Delhi: The condition of star tennis player Leander Paes, undergoing treatment for a brain lesion in
a hospital at Orlando, United States, continues to be stable.
The doctors at the M D Anderson Cancer Centre, where Paes was admitted on August 20 after
experiencing severe headache, have put the player on antibiotics and the exact reason for his illness
could be known in a couple of days after the MRI report comes out, according to information
received.
Paes was responding well to the treatment and the doctors are also awaiting the results of few more
additional tests.
They suspect Paes could have contracted an infection common in India.
Meanwhile, Leander's father Dr Vece Paes has reached Orlando to be with his son.
