5 Pak soldiers killed in heavy exchange of fire

Jammu: Five Pakistani soldiers were killed in heavy exchange of fire with Indian troops along the Line of Control in Rajouri-Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir on August 24, Defence sources said.

Two civilians were critically injured in the Indian side in the exchanges, they said.

Pakistani troops fired mortar bombs targeting civilian and forward defence locations along the LoC in Mankote, Tain, Pathrigali, Langote, Balnoie, Dhargaloon in Krishnagati, Kerni, Balakote, Jangard, Kalsia, Bhawani, Laa and Jallas in Rajouri-Poonch sector, the sources said.

Indian troops retaliated and in the heavy exchanges, which were still on in the area, five Pakistani soldiers were killed, the sources said.
