ASI report on excavation at Ayodhya opened

Lucknow: The Archaeological Survey of India's (ASI) much-awaited report on excavation at the disputed
site in Ayodhya was opened on August 25 before the special/full Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High
Court hearing Ram Janambhhomi-Babri Masjid title suits.
The report, submitted in the court on August 22, was opened at 10.30 hours (IST) soon after the Bench
comprising Justice S R Alam, Justice Bhanwar Singh and Justice Khemkaran, met.
Three sets of the report were opened for the Bench that also spoke to the ASI team leader Hari Majhi
who informed the court that its first part contained ASI's opinion while the second had maps and
drawings.
The court granted six weeks to the contesting parties for filing objection, if any.
