Death toll in Mumbai twin blasts rises to 52

Mumbai: With two more persons succumbing to injuries, the death toll in the twin blast that ripped through the congested Zaveri bazar and near the Taj Mahal hotel rose to 52 on August 26.

"The toll has gone up to 52 with two persons succumbing to injuries in J J hospital," Minister of State for Health, Suresh Shetty said.

The bombs placed in the dicky of two taxis parked outside Gateway of India and near Zaveri Bazaar area went off one after the other on August 25, spreading panic in the city.
