Wednesday, August 27 2003 19:16 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: In a broad day light robbery in the heart of the capital, a man barged into the office of the Swiss International Airlines at World Trade Centre (WTC) and decamped with Rs 10,000 after firing two shots, police said.

"At 4.55 pm (IST), a five feet and nine inches tall, thin built man walked into the fifth floor office of Swiss Air, fired two rounds and decamped with over Rs 10,000 and a mobile phone," deputy commissioner of police Manoj Lall said.

"Nobody was hurt. It is a case of robbery and he (robber) has apparently escaped," Lall said, adding a manhunt has been launched to nab him.

World Trade Centre houses several business establishments and is located adjacent to the Grand Intercontinental Hotel.
