Advani keen on conducive atmosphere for talks with Pak
Thursday, August 28 2003 14:16 Hrs (IST)

Srinagar: Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani on August 28 said there was need to create a conducive atmosphere for a dialogue between India and Pakistan.

For this, cross-border terrorism has to stop and the infrastructure created in that country for terrorism should be dismantled, Adavni told a press conference at the end of the two-day Inter-State Council meeting.

He said certain confidence-building measures have been taken on both sides but what can be called a formal dialogue has not begun yet.

The Deputy Prime Minister also assured that whenever there are talks with Pakistan on Jammu and Kashmir, the resolution on it adopted in Parliament would be kept in mind.

The resolution had expressed the country's determination to reclaim the parts of Jammu and Kashmir under Pakistan occupation.
