Indian boy in Pak jail to be released on August 30
Thursday, August 28 2003 16:17 Hrs (IST)

Islamabad: Pakistan has agreed to release an Indian boy languishing in a Pakistani jail for the past six years. Islamabad informed the Ministry of External Affairs on August 28 that Ranjit Kumar will be released at the Wagah border on August 30.

Like in the case of Muneer, the Pakistani boy who accidentally strayed across the border, Ranjit too was caught on the wrong side of the border in 1996, and has been in prison ever since.
