Pak troops shelling in JK: 2 children dead, 3 hurt

Srinagar: Pakistani troops on August 29 started shelling in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir killing two children of a family and seriously injured three others, including a woman, officials said.

Azhar Mohammad Jozi (4) and Mujahid Ahmad Jozi (6), sons of Jalil Ahmad Jozi, died on the spot in the shelling from across the border, which started around 02.30 a m in Kamalkote and Sultan Daki areas of Uri, around 100 kms from Srinagar, they said.

Masrat Bano (9), Bashir Ahmad (16) and Zarina (40) were seriously wounded in the shelling and were rushed to Srinagar for specialised treatment.

Indian troops also retaliated but there was no report of any damage on the other side, officials added.
