4 Pak militants killed, arms recovered in JK

Jammu: Four Pakistani ultras were killed and two militant hideouts busted in separate incidents in Jammu
and Kashmir since August 28 night, official sources said in Jammu on August 29.
Two Pakistani militants belonging to Lashkar-e-Toiba, identified as Abu Akram and Abu Farook, were
killed in an encounter at Salwa area of Mendhar tehsil in Poonch district in wee hours of August 29, they
said.
Two AK rifles with five magazines, 150 rounds, one wireless set and some incriminating documents were
recovered from the slain militants.
In another encounter with Rashtriya Rifles troops, two Pakistani militants were killed in Sumbergali area
of Udhampur district late on August 28 night, the sources said, adding two AK rifles, one pistol, four
magazines, two grenades, two Kenwood set and some documents were recovered from them.
Security forces have also busted two hideouts in Poonch and Rajouri districts and recovered arms and
explosives from them, Defence sources said.
During search operation in Surankote area of Poonch district, security forces recovered one pistol with
three magazines and 73 rounds, 11 AK magazines with 120 rounds of ammunition, one AK bayonet, one
radio set, one UBGL grenade, nine IED activation devices, 11 IED accessories, one Pika bayonet and
one binocular.
In Darhal area of Rajouri district, 47 rounds of AK ammunition, one RPG rocket, four hand-grenades
and 26 pencil cells were recovered from another hideout.
