RDX used in blasts have come from Nepal: Police
Saturday, August 30 2003 15:59 Hrs (IST)

Mumbai: Police suspect that the RDX used in the August 25 twin blast case could have been smuggled to India through Nepal.

"This could be one of the possible routes, however, we are not overlooking the possibility of the explosives being smuggled through some other route," a senior police official said on August 30.

The police were also awaiting report of the teams that have been to various part of the country, including Bihar and Uttar Pradesh to gather clues on the blast.

Earlier, joint commissioner of police, Satyapal Singh had stated that the RDX had been used during the 1993 bomb blast.

However, there was little possibility of the stocks left over from the 1993 blast was used in the twin blast case.
