Four Pak-trained militants shot dead in JK

Srinagar: Four Pakistan-trained militants were shot dead by security forces in an encounter in frontier district of Kupwara on August 30 night, Defence sources said in Srinagar on August 31.

The four, yet to be identified, were killed in the gunfight that broke out at Gabdori area in the district, they said adding further details were awaited.

Security forces also nabbed a pro-Pakistan Hizbul Mujahideen militant Ghulam Mohiuddin Malik in Baramulla district of North Kashmir on August 30 evening, according to the sources.

Three rifle grenades, a magazine and 18 rounds of ammunition were recovered from his possession, the said.
