26 Taleban suspects held in Pak; arms seized

Islamabad: At least 26 suspected Taleban activists were arrested in a major operation conducted near Chaman, bordering Afghanistan.

The sources said that the law enforcement agencies had received a tip about the presence of the Taleban activists. The agencies constituted a special team to apprehend them and raided the suspects' hideout near the Pak-Afghan border.

A huge quantity of arms, ammunition, wireless equipment were recovered from their possession, a report in 'The News' said.

The sources said that that those apprehended were involved in some activities during the past several days and were planning some attacks at the time of arrest.
