New Delhi: A day after foiling a major terror plot in the national capital by seizing large quantity of ammunition and explosives and killing two Jaish-e-Mohammad militants, Delhi Police personnel on August 31 launched a crackdown on the outfits network arresting two more ultras in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh and charged them under POTA (Prevention of Terrorism Act).

The Pakistan trained militants identified as Ateeq Ahmad alias Nanhe and Rais Ahmad, brothers of one of the two militants killed in the capital on August 30, were arrested from Secunderabad area of the district during a raid conducted around 6 a m.

Twenty-three electronic detonators, three remote control devices and Rs 86,000 cash were seized from them, Joint Commissioner Special Cell Neeraj Kumar said.

The two are brothers of one of the two JeM militants Habibullah alias Rafiq Ahmad shot dead in a late night encounter in the national capital on August 30.

The arrests were made on the basis of leads given by three persons -- Pervez Ahmed, Feroz Ahmed and Noor Mohammad -- taken into custody from Sadar Bazar area of the capital on August 30 while carrying a consignment of three boxes of ammunition in a truck.
