New Delhi: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on August 31 said Ram temple movement had entered a decisive phase after Archaeological Survey of India's (ASI) report on excavation at the disputed site.

In a statement, VHP secretary Rajendra Singh Pankaj said the criticism of the ASI report by some historians and intellectuals lacked facts. These people had been trying to present the history of the country in a "twisted" manner, he said.

The ASI report had established that Ram temple existed at the same place (disputed site), he claimed.

The VHP leader urged Muslims to accept this truth and withdraw their claim from the disputed site to pave way for construction of a Ram temple.
