Visas to Britain to cost less by Rs 200 to Rs 400

New Delhi: People applying for a British visa will pay Rs 200 to Rs 400 less under various categories from September 1.

While fees for the standard visa have been fixed at Rs 2,700, the one-year multiple entry visa will now cost Rs 4,500, a British High Commission release said.

For the two-year multiple entry visa, the fees will now be Rs 5,250, for five years Rs 6,600 and for a decade Rs 11,250 – all of which falls under the categories of visitors, students, passengers in transit and returning residents.

Fees for a settlement and marriage visa will be Rs 19,500, it said.

A settlement and marriage visa will be for Rs 19,500, certificate and entitlement one for Rs 8,250, all other long-term entry for Rs 5,650 and direct airside transit for Rs 2,000.
