Tuesday, September 2 2003 11:37 Hrs (IST)

Bangalore: Intelligence Bureau sleuths grilled a 30-year-old man picked up at the Bangalore airport in connection with the Mumbai twin bomb blasts, official sources said on September 2.

Mohammed Fahim, who hailed from Hyderabad, arrived in Bangalore from Mumbai to board a flight to Dubai on August 31. He was detained at the Bangalore airport early on September 1. Police were on the alert after Mumbai police sounded their Bangalore counterparts that they were looking for him.

Fahim is working as an electrician in Dubai. He told interrogators that since he could not get a ticket from Mumbai, he came down to Bangalore to proceed from here.

Mumbai police had on September 1 arrested four persons in connection with the August 25 explosions.
